The Game

Our newest Fujitsu television commercial is called “The Game” and it features some of Hawaii’s most popular and successful football players. The spot was conceived by Drew Santos, Nate Ilao, Rich Miano and Greg Davis. Greg is from KHON Channel 2 and he wrote, filmed and directed the spot which was filmed on location at Aloha Stadium and at the Hamai Residence in Kahala. This was an incredible shoot that was filled with fun, laughter and a lot of sweat. The football scenes were filmed at 1:30 in the afternoon on a 90 degree summer day. The sweat dripping from the players is real. Loved having the Kapahulu Raider Football Team come out to challenge our All-Stars. Was also a thrill to see Colt Brennan and all of these great players back on the Hawaii field again. Brought back tons of memories. Leonard Peters was a riot on the field and at the home in Kahala. He is a natural actor with great presence. I think it’s the hair! Rich Miano was the “Coach” and he delivered his lines like a true leader. The surprise of the the shoot was Nate Ilaoa who is always quiet and reserved. Nate delivered his lines perfectly and pretty much stole the show. Filming in the home theatre in Kahala was a morning that started slow with a 9:00 casting call. Everyone arrived on time and warmed up to each other quite quickly. The guys ate some breakfast, watched NFL football and a replay of Rich Miano announcing the Hawaii game the day before. Ashlee Kozuma and Meleana Fernandez from the Larson Talent Agency joined the guys for the final scenes and that’s when it really got fun. The interaction between the girls and the players was fantastic. Everyone was just laughing and smiling. This was an incredible shoot that I will never forget.
